Akwa Ibom Payroll Portal 2026: How to Verify Salary and Download Payslips

The Akwa Ibom State Government has officially introduced the Public Servants Payroll Account Portal, a digital platform that allows all active state public servants to access, review, and verify their payroll records ahead of the 2026 Public Servants Self Verification Exercise.

The portal, developed under the supervision of the Ministry of Science and Digital Economy, is part of the state’s ongoing digital reform aimed at improving transparency, accuracy, and efficiency in payroll management across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).

What the Akwa Ibom Payroll Account Portal Is Used For

Through the payroll account portal, public servants can securely access and manage their payroll information, including:

  • Monthly salary and allowances

  • Deductions, taxes, and loan records

  • Employment and posting details

  • Historical payslips from June 2025 to date

  • Downloadable payslips for official or personal use

Each public servant is also issued a unique access code, which can be used by authorised third parties to verify payslips when required.

Importantly, the portal enables officers to carry out self verification online, reducing the need for physical verification and easing pressure on MDAs.

Deadline for Payroll Verification

All public servants are advised to complete their portal registration and payroll verification on or before 15 February 2026.

Completing the process early will help prevent delays or issues during the official self verification exercise.

Support for Public Servants Without Internet Access

To ensure that no public servant is left out, the Ministry of Science and Digital Economy has deployed self-service computer kiosks across all MDAs.

These kiosks are available to assist officers who do not have access to smartphones, computers, or stable internet connections.

Why This Payroll Portal Matters

The launch of the payroll account portal demonstrates the Akwa Ibom State Government’s commitment to:

  • Digital governance

  • Payroll transparency

  • Efficient public service administration

  • Improved employee welfare

By giving public servants direct access to their payroll data, the platform helps reduce errors, prevent disputes, and improve trust in payroll processes.
