ENSUBEB Invites Shortlisted Vendors for Smart Green Schools Screening & Interview 2026

The Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board (ENSUBEB) has officially invited shortlisted vendors for feeding and cleaning services to participate in the screening and interview exercise for the 260 Smart Green Schools across Enugu State.

The announcement confirms ENSUBEB’s commitment to transparency, inclusivity, and fairness in selecting qualified service providers to support the effective operation of Smart Green Schools statewide.

About the ENSUBEB Smart Green Schools Programme

The Smart Green Schools initiative is a flagship education reform programme of the Enugu State Government, aimed at improving learning environments through modern infrastructure, hygiene, nutrition, and sustainable school management practices.

To ensure high standards, ENSUBEB is conducting a structured vendor screening and interview process for feeding and cleaning services across all participating schools.

Phase 1 Screening: Hard Copy Submissions Only

ENSUBEB disclosed that Phase 1 of the screening exercise will strictly involve hard copy submission of documents. No online or soft-copy submissions will be accepted at this stage.

The exercise will run for six (6) days and has been carefully scheduled according to Local Government Areas (LGAs) to ensure smooth participation by all shortlisted vendors.

  • Igbo-Eze North

Day Two – Friday, 6 February 2026

  • Oji-River

  • Ezeagu

  • Udi

Day Four – Tuesday, 10 February 2026

  • Awgu

  • Aninri

  • Nkanu East

Day Five – Wednesday, 11 February 2026

  • Nkanu West

  • Enugu North

Day Six – Thursday, 12 February 2026

  • Isi-Uzo

  • Enugu East

  • Mop-up for applicants with genuine challenges

Requirements for Shortlisted ENSUBEB Vendors

All shortlisted vendors are required to attend the screening and interview exercise in person with the following:

  • Valid means of identification

  • Original application documents

  • Any other relevant supporting credentials

ENSUBEB emphasized that attendance is mandatory, and failure to appear on the scheduled date may result in automatic disqualification.

The screening and interview exercise will be led by the Executive Chairman and members of the ENSUBEB Board. The process is designed to:

  • Verify vendor credentials

  • Assess capacity and compliance

  • Ensure fairness and accountability

  • Select competent service providers for Smart Green Schools

Next Steps After ENSUBEB Interview

Following the completion of the screening and interview exercise:

  • Only successful vendors will be invited for the next stage of engagement

  • Further instructions will be communicated directly by ENSUBEB
