In response, and as part of his commitment to strengthening basic education in Jigawa State, the Governor approved a downward review of the cut-off mark from 40 to 30.

With the revised cut-off mark:
660 candidates now qualify for permanent and pensionable teaching appointments
Candidates who scored 30 marks and above are eligible for absorption into the Jigawa State education system
