Federal University of Health Sciences Enugu is a federally owned specialized university that is located in Dental Avenue, Trans Ekulu, Enugu.
Federal University of Health Sciences Enugu was established out of the Federal School of Dental Technology and Hygiene, which was at first established in Lagos in the year 1952 to train dentists and therapists; the institution was moved to Enugu in 1982.
The Federal School of Dental Technology and Hygiene, which later became the Federal University of Health Sciences Enugu, was accredited by the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) and the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) in the year 2000, granting them the authority to award a National Diploma and Higher National Diploma.
In the year 2017, the Federal School of Dental Technology and Hygiene was given the power to offer degree courses in the institution by the authority of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari. Following the upgrade of the institution from college to university, the institution in 2021 secured approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to offer degree courses, which was approved.
The Federal University of Health Sciences Benue (FUAHSE) was established by the federal government in order to meet the increasing needs for skilled and fit-for-purpose manpower in allied health and continuous brain drain.

Admission Requirements
● UTME Candidates: Minimum score of 150 in 2025 JAMB examination
● Direct Entry Candidates: ND/HND/First Degree and O’Level Credit in relevant disciplines
● Candidates who did not choose FUAHSE as their first choice can apply after changing institutions on the JAMB website.
● Candidate must be 16 years and above
● Application Fees for UTME Candidates: ₦2,000.00 (non-refundable)
● Application Fee for Direct Entry Candidates: ₦30,000.00 (non-refundable)

● Enter JAMB Registration Number to generate payment invoice (RRR)
● Pay at any bank or with an ATM card
● Return to the university portal
● Click on Apply to complete application form
● Correctly enter O’Level results
● Confirm information entered
● Submit application
● Print acknowledgement slip
● Based on verified JAMB scores and WAEC/GCE/NECO O’Level results uploaded on JAMB CAP
● Must enter a valid mobile number and e-mail address
● Upload O’Level results on the JAMB PORTAL
● Candidates who fail to register within the period will NOT be qualified.
● Only successfully submitted online applications will be considered.
● For Direct Entry: The academic transcript must reach the Registrar not later than 19th August, 2025.
